According to Fell's Point Main Street, the General Contractor has been chosen and tentatively construction is scheduled to begin the first or second week in February. As they meet with DOT, they will provide information as they receive it.
There are currently approximately 22 flower pots in Broadway Square which have been taken care of over the years by Denise Whitman (with the Preservation Society) and this past year the flowers were donated by Max’s Taphouse and care was done by Cathy Sidlowski (owner of Freesia). A huge thank you to both of them, the flowers were beautiful! The flower pots are not included in the new renovation of Broadway Square and are currently in good condition. Several businesses have asked for them. If you are interested in one or two of the flower pots from Broadway Square, please send me an email (or respond to this one) as I am compiling a list of possible locations and those who want to plant and care for the flowers. As you can tell they will need to be moved relatively soon. There is not a Minor Privilege fee for these pots. Please note you must maintain 4 feel of walkway at all times taking into consideration outside seating if you have that.
