From the web site:
The oldest of the existing city market buildings, Broadway celebrated its 221th birthday in 2017. The market has gone through many changes, and was the first of the three built to accommodate the dispersed population of Baltimore’s boom years. To serve the immigrants and sailors of Fells Point, the market once consisted of four long sheds that extended to the harbor.

Today, the market is comprised of two buildings totaling 12,000-square-feet and located along the center of Broadway in the heart of Fells Point.

The south shed is currently home to five unique food vendors open for business Monday through Saturday serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, fresh seafood and late night fare.

The north shed has been vacant nearly a decade. While there have been plans to redevelop the north shed with the private sector, the Baltimore Public Market Corporation (BPMC) has recently embarked on undertaking the redevelopment of both the north and south sheds with the goal of bringing back the full vibrancy of Broadway Market for future generations to come.

BPMC is excited to engage with residents, businesses and interested stakeholders as we develop a new vision and plan for Broadway Market. BPMC expects the visioning process to begin in December 2017. Key dates and information will be updated on this website during the process. You may also email inquires to This email address is being protected from spambots.
